Here at Wagging Tails we offer a full range of grooming services for your dog.
- Nail Clipping/File
- Paw Tidy (nail trim/file, fur tidy on paws only)
- Mini Groom (inc. bath, blow dry, brush, sanitary & nail trim)
- De-Shed Grooms
- Full Groom (inc. bath, blow dry, nail & sanitary trim, clip and style)
We cater for all breeds and sizes of dog** however we are not taking on any new dogs who require hand stripping at the moment.
Pricing
Most grooms are priced within a set range for that specific breed and coat type. We encourage our clients to stay on a 6-8 week grooming schedule where possible. Additional charges may be added to the final groom price due to issues including but not limited to:
- matted coats
- behavioural issues inc. aggression or anxiety
- fleas or other parasites
- additional handler required

Please also note that for large breed dogs (over 25kg) an hourly rate of £80 per hour is applied.
** XL Bully Breeds are welcome in the salon. However, for insurance purposes, we must insist on the following conditions:
- They are accompanied by an adult over 18 yrs old throughout the appointment
- They remain on-lead while in the salon
- They wear an appropriate, well fitted muzzle
- They are neutered
- They carry the correct exemption certificate
How We Work
For most new clients, we will arrange an initial ‘Meet & Treat’. This is a complementary 30 min visit to the salon that gives us a chance to meet you and your dog, plus it gives everyone the opportunity to make sure our salon is the correct fit for your dog.
When you arrive for an appointment at the salon, we will discuss your dogs grooming requirements, health conditions, lifestyle, home grooming routine and arrange a pick-up/collection time.
We have 3 fully qualified groomers at Wagging Tails. Your dog will be with the same groomer throughout their appointment. We always carry out an initial health check on each dog and any issues we find are communicated to the owner.
Our main priority is the welfare of each dog we work with. Your dog will be allowed rest breaks for cuddles, water and treats if we have permission from the owner to offer them. We do not force dogs to complete grooms if they are struggling.
Although we do not use crates at Wagging Tails, each dog is kept separate from other dogs who may be in the salon at the same time.
What’s Included
We are often asked if nail trimming is included in the price of our grooms – yes, it is. We don’t charge a separate fee for this service as nails are something we routinely check. If nails need trimmed/filed then this will be done. unless an owner has asked us not to.
Each dog is bathed twice with high quality shampoo from our preferred brand, The Pawdinary. We condition the coat before blow drying to leave it feeling soft and help prevent knots and tangles from forming. Once your dogs groom is finished, if appropriate, we will apply a light spritz of dog friendly cologne and take their finished photograph.
